Understanding Socialisation Properly

Socialisation is one of the most misunderstood areas of dog training.

Many owners believe socialisation simply means dogs meeting and playing with other dogs. In reality, proper socialisation is about helping dogs feel calm, safe and confident in different situations, environments and around different people and dogs.

Not every dog wants to interact constantly — and that is completely okay.

Ali helps owners better understand:

  • Dog body language
  • Stress signals
  • Confidence building
  • Calm interactions
  • Appropriate play
  • Safe exposure to new environments

Training sessions are designed to create structured, positive experiences that help dogs learn without becoming overwhelmed.

“After rehoming my reactive Border Collie, walks were stressful and challenging. Ali’s training and support gave me the confidence to manage difficult situations, and seeing Benji happily interact and play with other dogs has been amazing. I’d highly recommend Ali to any dog owner.”

Mary Baker

“My Alsatian Snowy was extremely reactive around other dogs and could only be exercised in a rented field. With Ali’s calm, gradual approach, he’s now socialising happily, has plenty of canine pals, and genuinely enjoys the sessions. A complete success story!”
